Well What's up?

Alot has happened in the last 7 years.  Quick run down, website is dead and started anew, I divorced about 5 years ago,  got a permanent position at school, met a nice lady, and now looking to rent or sell my house.  That's pretty much it.

Weekend

Well the weekend has past and it was not very productive. I caught a cold on Friday and was dragging all day on Saturday. I had to teach from 9 to 3:30 so that was pretty tough. I feel asleep on the couch. Around 8pm I woke up and went to bed.

On Sunday I woke up at around 9. We got the kids ready to go and do some errands.

First stop was grandma's house, dropped off my daughter. Then we went to BicCamera and bought stuff for my son and stuff for home. I'm looking to buy a cheap printer for school. My last one lasted 6 years and cost only 4 thousand yen. I hope I can find another one like that.

New School Year

Well it is a new school year and I wonder what this year will bring.

So far we have a new native English teacher.

My classes are pretty good although I had to scold one class one the first day. They were a little too excited and got a little too noisy.

I'm in a new teachers room, it seems better. I'm closer to the copy room, and smoking room than I was before. The down side is that I'm farther from my classes.

Hummm...

Train

Back on the train again. Last week I drove to school. It was nice to get away from the packed train for awhile.

The past

Recently I have discovered that I don't hate that little town in my past as much as I thought I did. I don't want to live there now, but maybe someday.
Another thing I have been thinking about is everything that has led up to this point.. Some people want a "do over," in my case I would be happy with a big eraser. I believe we are who we are because of our past. Where I'm at now in life may not much to some but I'm happy. My family is not perfect but whose is?
My job doesn't pay alot but I get by ok.

The eraser would be to erase things I have said or bad split second decisions that I shouldn't have made.

New Flu

At my school we had severl days off because of the swine flu. It has hit our freshman classes the hardest. There were many students out sick in each class. Two weeks ago they had to cancel all freshman classes for five days. That seems to have slowed it down alot. Now there are still quite a few students out sick, but not like 2 weeks ago. In September we had to cancel our school festival.
Now days there are many people wearing masks in public. Even I find it more comfortable to ride the train with one on. I'm not sure to what degree of protection they offer but it is better than nothing. People don't always cover their mouth when they cough or sneeze.
